Jen Resnick, L.Ac, has been teaching with Zheng Gu Tui Na since 2008. She graduated from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in 2005 and has interned with ZGTN co-founder Frank Butler at Soho Herbs & Acupuncture since 2003, which she continues today.
An international champion and nationally renowned martial arts instructor, Jen began her TCM practice in San Francisco’s Bay area where she was Executive Director and Head Instructor of Hand to Hand, a community martial arts center. There, she combined Chinese medicine theory with the practice of martial arts and meditation to investigate the path of somatic healing and empowerment through movement. Her training in acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Qi Gong and Zheng Gu Tui Na trauma medicine allows her, in turn, to effectively treat sports injuries, musculoskeletal pain and internal conditions.
Jen is also a founding member of the Global Alternative Healthcare Project, one of the first organizations to offer TCM-based medical aid internationally. She has traveled to Indonesia, Nepal, and worked with Native American and Latino communities in the US, delivering free healthcare to people in need.
Jen’s educational background includes a B.A. in Semiotics from Brown University and graduate studies at San Francisco State University. She holds a MSTOM from Pacific College, NY and is nationally certified in Chinese Herbs and Acupuncture. She is licensed in California and New York and practices at Soho Herbs & Acupuncture in Manhattan
